What Is the ECO4 Scheme?

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) is a UK government initiative aimed at reducing carbon emissions and tackling fuel poverty. Under this scheme, large energy companies are obligated to fund energy-efficiency improvements for eligible households.

With Direct ECO Solutions, the application process is simple and fast — and your upgrade could be 100% funded.

“Thousands of homes across the UK are already saving on bills thanks to ECO4-funded upgrades.”

Services Offered by Direct ECO Solutions

Direct ECO Solutions specialises in a range of home energy upgrades — all supported through government grants:

Free Boiler Grant

Older boilers are inefficient and costly. If yours is over 15 years old, you may qualify for a brand new, A-rated boiler — installed by certified engineers, at no cost.

First Time Central Heating Grant

Never had a central heating system? You may qualify for a full install — boiler, radiators, and piping — funded through the ECO4 scheme.

Insulation Grants

Heat escapes from poorly insulated homes. Upgrade your property with loft, cavity wall, or internal wall insulation, dramatically reducing heat loss and monthly energy bills.

Air Source Heat Pump Grant

Switch to renewable heating with an air source heat pump. It’s energy-efficient, eco-friendly, and backed by funding for eligible homes.

Who Is Eligible?

Eligibility typically depends on:

• Your property's EPC rating (usually D, E, F, or G)

• The age and condition of your boiler

• Whether you receive government benefits

• Your tenure type (homeowners and some private renters)

Use the 60-second eligibility checker to find out if you qualify.
